It wasn't easy, picking just a couple out of the hundreds they have. I had to think quite seriously about what I wanted and how I was going to use my roses. I knew I wanted pinks and mauves, low to medium height, preferably with a strong scent. I like my roses to smell like roses.
In the end, we picked out 2 David Austins; the Redoute and the Jubilee Celebration, both wonderfully scented with lots of petals in a full cupped shape. Stu picked out a hybrid tea rose that bears old fashioned mauve flowers that smells so divine.

I am so thrilled with my roses. I've always loved flowers, all sorts even wild ones that people call weeds. But recently it seems I have fallen absolutely, madly, deeply in love with roses and it's no wonder why.

I LOVE flowers, so fun! We have a gorgeous rose garden here that people can get married in, SO pretty during the summer!
They are beautiful! :)
I would enjoyed that soooo much! I adore roses and very much approve of your choices. I have Jubilee Celebration in the garden and it is stunning. Next to it I have Lady of Megginch which is amazing, similar to the third rose down in your post. Beautiful!
I love the smell of roses. The Jubilee one is my favourite. xx

wow lovely pics! I could almost reach out and touch them! xx
They are beautiful and I love pale pink roses. The second from last picture is gorgeous, I like the fact that the rose is already slightly faded - a little bit like a vintage flower :-) Love from London xo
Only two? That would be so hard! I'd want to build crowns and fill baskets so that I may skip down the road flinging the to passer-bys! Beautiful photos!
