The wedding day? It was perfect. The most wonderful day of my life thus far. I had more fun than I ever thought possible. I said my vows, I laughed, I drank, and I ate heaps of wedding cake. And then I danced with my husband, Stu. Yes, husband. Oh, how that word makes me giggle still. Heh.
We had exclusive use of our wedding venue, Peppers Convent for the entire weekend. Within its beautiful garden and vineyard, the bridal party and our closest family and friends shared great food, happy chatter and fine wine which somehow just kept on flowing. It was memorable for so many reasons. The fact that we were getting married was a major one, being surrounded by people we really love was a close second, followed by the beautiful heritage house we were in and the wonderful staff within..
Even in these post wedding, post honeymoon days, I still find myself recalling every moment of that perfect day, that glorious weekend with a dreamy smile on my face. I am eagerly awaiting my wedding photos and will share them with you as soon as I can.
So yes, the countdown has begun!
That said, I will be taking the new few weeks off from blogging to get married. I will be back with tons of photos and stories, I promise.
I love making roadtrips, especially when Stu's offers to do the driving (which he did). On a sunny day, country NSW looks really beautiful with its rolling hills, green grass, deep blue skies and all the vivid colours of Spring. Blayney Shire in its historical setting is particularly charming at this time of the year. 
I've been feeling like I'm running on empty these days, with home renos and wedding preps and what feels like a million things to do, so this trip away took my mind off things and I could finally just...breathe. Fresh country air does a lot of good for the soul.
