Crystal clear

It was the night Stu and I dined here and got served dessert in the most beautiful cut crystal bowl that started it. Now I can't get enough of crystal everything. Need to start a new collection.

Do you like cut crystal?

From the South Coast

There's something about seeing wild kangaroos and wallabies on the beach that fascinates me. This little wallaby here totally crashed the couple's party, it was so funny to watch. Here's sharing some more pictures from my weekend away in the South Coast of NSW. Stu and I visited something like 5 beaches in one day.

It's amazing how dramatically different they all look from each other even though they are all in the one national park (Booderee). Calm, dramatic, light blue, dark green, sandy, rocky...
No prizes for guessing why people call this the lucky country!

Flower crown

I'm beginning to think this look isn't just for the bohemian. I would love to wear a crown of flowers on my head. What about you?

My garden, in Spring

Stu and I moved into our new home in the heat of summer after the flowering season so we were pretty stoked that when Spring arrived, the garden suddenly looked like this:We had no idea there were so many flowering plants in the garden! It's like a fairy waved her wand and all the flowers appeared. It's really quite awesome, I tell you. Would you like to meet my flowers? Yes?

This is the Diosma

All dressed in pink are the Azaleas

Meet Daisy

This one, I can't identify. But the rosaleas and lorikeets love them.

What flowers do you have in your garden?

Pleats, please

Throughout my school years in Singapore, my school uniform consisted of a white pleated skirt that was made of a nasty, scratchy fabric. The skirt itself was designed to make even the most attractive girl look like a tree trunk. Oh, how I hated that pleated skirt.

These days, however, I am seeing pleats in a completely different light; I would like some pretty pleats, please.

Lovely things

The most delightful salmon pink shade

The cutest little S&P shakers

Some freshwater pearls

My new baby

I received lots of lovely things for my birthday this year; feeling very loved and blesssed and strangely at ease with my age. I guess 31 is not my scary age.

Do you have a scary age?

Curtain call

When we first moved into our home, I said to Stu "The curtains have to go!" But then we found out how much custom curtains cost and had to put that on hold. So I'm experiencing all kinds of curtain envy at the moment.

Gone glamping

So, it was my birthday on the weekend and Stu and I celebrated by going glamping.

You see, glamping really isn't very much different from regular camping; we slept in tents close to nature, surrounded by trees and birds and wildlife. We woke up to the sounds of birds calling and at night we slept under the stars. On the Sunday night it rained and we drifted off to sleep to the pitter patter of rain on our tent. Glamping- it's camping but just that bit more civilised.

How do you camp?

Where the birds fly

Just where do the birds fly to?

Is it like a holiday that they plan; something they look forward to? Do they talk about it in excitement and share stories after?

Thoughts, anyone? Tell me something outrageous and fun and totally made up.

Anjolee Jewelry - A Review

The thing I love most about tennis is that you can wear sparkly diamond bracelets while playing the game. You see, I don't do sports but diamonds, I love.

So, when Anjolee asked me to review one of their diamond tennis bracelet, I jumped at the chance (Who wouldn't?). Their circles diamond bracelet (pictured above) caught my eye because it's different from the usual run-of-the-mill tennis bracelets in the market. I love the stylish circles link and how each diamond is set so beautifully within each circle of dainty diamonds. Very bling bling but also very elegant.

Anjolee specialises in customised jewelry so you get to pick the metal type (platinum, yellow or white gold), carat weight and diamond quality. This means you can custom-build each of jewelry based on your taste and budget, which is pretty awesome. If you are worried about buying diamonds online, you will be happy to know that Anjolee’s diamonds are always guaranteed to be genuine, authentic, and at the quality listed on the site. Their tennis bracelets and other diamond items come with a Anjolee Certificate of Authenticity and a 30-Day, 100% Money Back Guarantee so you won't sweat it.

Good Luck

I'm not usually superstitious but following a recent spate of unfortunate incidents (nothing major, thankfully), I'm beginning to think I need a dose of good luck.

So tell me, what brings you good luck?
