Where dreams are made

It's taken us 6 months, but we finally got all the pieces we needed to create the master bedroom we love. Here's a peek.

Tulle-tastic

You know how I feel about tulle right?

Then it shouldn't surprise you that my wedding dress will feature tulle. Lots and lots of tulle. And I picked some lace to go with it just last week too. It is being made at the moment by the lovely Yan Pothin. I can't wait to see it!

Ring-a-ling-ling

I'm so proud of Stu - he single-handedly picked the stone and cut, custom designed the band and even got the size right. He then had to hide it in a safe place where I wouldn't think to "investigate" (as I sometimes did secretly) and he fretted for 3 weeks before he finally found the right time and place to propose.

It touches me to know he had put in such a lot of thought and effort into getting me the perfect ring, which it really is; I honestly couldn't have picked a better ring for myself.

More fresh from the garden

Stu and I are still discovering new things about our garden. We initially thought we had a lime tree so we were really puzzled when the fruits turned yellow. Then it finally dawned on us that we actually have a mandarin tree - DUUH!

Snap Happy

I love my new instagram app- it makes everyday mundane things (even me - see new profile picture!) look so awesome.

To veil or not to veil

I know a lot of brides are now opting not to wear a veil on their wedding day but I've decided I want to have one; better to be a blushing bride with!

Will you or did you wear a veil on your big day?

Mums the word

I had originally planned for this to be a Mother's Day post but gosh life has been so hectic of late I only got to it now. I guess late is better than never right?

Growing up in Singapore, Chrysanthemums were traditionally used in temples, or at the altar. I never saw them as anything other than prayer flowers until recently. They come in so many shapes, sizes and colours and come with a light delicate smell...I've started to use them around the house. Just lovely.

Do you like mums?
