Hunting and gathering

OK maybe not so much hunting involved, but there was quite some gathering happening at Orange, NSW where Stu and I spent the weekend.

The bees were gathering pollen and I was picking lemons straight off the tree in the backyard. I even collected freshly laid eggs from the very free range and contented chooks. I've never been so happy to find dirt and bits of feather on my eggs...it was a great treat for a city gal like me!

Golden Canola

Stu and I were driving through country NSW when we spotted these spectacular bright yellow canola fields. So beautiful, I just had to stop and take heaps of photos.

Hope your week be as bright as these fields!

I am Love

I always knew Tilda Swinton is a great actress but never knew just how fab she is until I watched I am Love. Steering away from her usual villain-ous roles, she is beautiful, sensitive, human and simply wonderful to watch. I'm also very impressed that she speaks italian!

Have you seen I am Love yet?

Mississipi Collection

I always get excited when I come across an Australian designer I love. Lee Mathews is one such designer.

Love his new summer 2010 collection, so casual, so organic and oh so wearable.

Little birdie birdie

I'm thinking how lovely it would be to watch little birdies visit these birdhouses.

Quietly 30

On the weekend, with hardly any fuss, I quietly turned 30.

Stu and I spent a leisurely afternoon having lunch at Tetsuya's, he even surprised me with this watch I've been eyeing for the longest time. Candles were blown, a cake was cut...what does 30 feel like? Pretty darn good, I must say.

What did you do on the weekend?

Over at Taylor's today

Helloooo, today I'm guest posting at Taylor's blog Auburn not Red where I'll be sharing my fav prints from the Ballerina Project. Please join me over there!

Pet Cloud

Stu thinks it's a little bit creepy, but I reckon Michael Casker's Pet Cloud series is way cute.

Wish I had my own personal cloud to hang out with; I promise to walk it, feed it, play games with it and squish it lots.

Flower Power

Happy Monday! What did you get up to on the weekend?

My friend and I went to the David Jones' annual flower show. My oh my, it was simply amazing to walk amongst the flowers, admiring their pretty heads and breathing in the perfumed air. I especially loved the red and orange selections; somehow they seem to represent the arrival of Spring so well, bright and cheery!
