What are you doing this Easter long weekend?

Stu and I are heading up to Barrington Tops for some peace and quiet. I hope the rain clears in time for us to do a bit of bushwalking, 4WDing and maybe even a bit of swimming at the waterfalls if the water's still warm enough. I'll be back mid next week. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Hey Hey Autumn days

Autumn is well and truly here.

The trees are busy changing colours and it's starting to rain everyday. I'm enjoying the many shades of colour in nature, though the drop in temperatures makes me want to sleep lots.

Cardigan ♥

I fell in love with this Forever new cardigan as soon as I saw it. It's made of the softest angora that's not only nice to touch but keeps me warm as well. The pearl embellishments are pretty and adds lovely detail. Love, love.

Making Potpourri

Happy Wednesday!

The roses from last week have all dried up, so I made potpourri. I'm really amazed at how their colours have remained so vibrant and took heaps of photos of them.

When I was young, I collected heaps of things; stickers, bookmarks, stamps, coins, shells, dried flowers, postcards etc. As a teenager I started collecting Barbie dolls, but that got too expensive so I stopped. Lately I've been thinking of starting a new collection of sorts, and these pictures have got me really inspired.

A Single Man

Here's a confession: I was never a fan of Colin Firth; never saw what the fuss was about. But after watching A Single Man this week, I've completely changed my mind. He is such a good actor, OMG.

The movie was just perfect and beautiful and stylish in so many ways (3 cheers for Tom Ford!). Really love the 1960 clothes and production design. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

Ladies high tea

There's nothing I enjoy more than catching up with my favourite girl friends over pretty pastries and afternoon tea. My friends and I recently went to do just that at the glorious QVB tearoom. Colonial and dignified, the place makes me want to sit up straight, have grown up conversations and sip my tea like a lady.

A bag and a tag

I got tagged! Thanks to the lovely Helen, I now have to show you my bag (which is brand new, btw...yay!) and its contents, because we all know a girl's bag tells a story about the owner.

Oh well, as you can see, there isn't actually very much in my bag. I have my purse, my makeup essentials (powder, lipstick, gloss), my keys, a hair clip and a pen. I know, boring right?

Anticipation

I've just pre-ordered She and Him Vol 2 and it is with anticipation that I wait for its release on the 23rd March (11 days to go!).

For a sneak peak, here's the video for their first single in this album: "In the sun". Zooey looks so cute in this video and I love her deep sultry voice, I definitely have a major girl crush on her.

Here's a little tidbit about myself: I wore my first plaits when I was less than 2 years old. When I was a baby, I looked just like a boy. Although my mom took care to dress me in pink, girly things, someone would still come up and compliment her "son"! But one day, a very clever cousin of mine thought of the perfect solution and knitted me a little hat, complete with fake plaits! I think that explains why I have a fondness for braiding my hair.
