Good as Gold

My mom taught me the value of gold from a very young age. When her mom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack, the only thing my mom had was a gold bracelet from her. Since then, my mom has showered me with gifts of gold so I'd always have something of value from her to hold on to.

Do you like gold?

Gold is precious. I have a few gold items, not many, and I keep them safe, rarely wearing them :)

As always, great visual inspiration! *

That's a great tradition your mom has started.

I'm more of a silver girl.

Very sweet post. That is very nice of your mom! I do love gold. I used to be more into silver, but the past few years I've switched to gold.

When I was younger I was always a silver girl but as I get older I love gold more and more.

Gold is beautiful! I don't mind silver or white gold either though but my engagement and wedding ring are both gold.

It's lovely that you will have some pieces that your mum gave you. A little something to hold onto.

I prefer my yellow gold jewelry to my white gold, for certain. Much more sparkle to the stones that way I think. As for clothing I just think the sparkly gold is better for the blondes. Have you seen the gold CLous in SATC2, one of my favorite pair of shoes ever!
Good to catch up with you Trishy!

I tend to favor silver over gold, but I definitely wouldn't mind owning any of the gorgeous items pictured in this post hehe ;)

I wear a ring of gold on my left hand given to me by my mum. Plus I just got a pair of gold earrings from her, my dad's parents gave them to her when she got pregnant with me<3

I always have a thing for gold, I've kept some of my mum's gold and they're more precious than anything else and I only wear them on "special" occasions, think more of treasuring mum's treasure than the gold itself :)

Such a sweet post Trishie, deserves a Gold Star.

I forever for a long time was a "silver loving" girl, but time has changed me and have now changed to a "gold loving" girl, although most of them are costume jewelry.
