Nothing inspires me to cook more than a beautifully presented recipe book with yummy recipes and lots of food porn. Donna Hay's
Seasons is my latest purchase and I love that the recipes are categoried by seasons, using the produce that are most available and food that best suits the weather for different times of the year.
The Australian Queen of food styling doesn't disappoint, I'm having so much joy just flipping through the pages!
What inspires you to cook?

Oh...the book and pictures look lovely! I'm sure the book alone can feed your tummy and your eyes with such pretty pictures. What inspires me to cook is whenever I'm home with my mom. I never cook when I'm by myself, but she always gives me the enthusiasm to cook with her! So much fun! Have a wonderful day!

Whoah, well posts like this for starters! Gorgeous. I've heard so much about Donna Hay, and yet I'll admit I've never used one of her cookbooks. I must remedy this. thanks for the inspiration.
LOVE Donna Hay! and her styling is fabulous. very inspirational ♥
That looks fantastic! The cheesy bread, fruit pie, and roasted chicken. Yum!
Hi Trishie, how are you sweetheart? Sorry I've not been over sooner, a little family illness has me limited in blog time.
I don't use this term often, but you are right, this book is full of gorgeous food porn!! hee hee! Seriously, I am putting this on my book list ASAP!
Hope all is well beautiful xoxo
Food porn is so appropo. I love her work & get mildly sad when her seasonal work hits our shoes & its not in line. Drat!!!
I get the itch to fix in the kitchen from books, magazine but mostly shopping. Great produce, cheese, etc just does me in...not to mention the wallet.
i just made a killer roast a la julia childs for my jeffrey's birthday. i had to marinate the thing for 12 hours in chianti and olive oil. oh the pay backs were sweet!
Books like this totally inspire me. It's going on my "must-buy" list. I only have to decide whether to send it to NJ so I can use it for cooking inspiration this summer or to CA so I can use it the rest of the year. Those images are stunning. I now need that slice of cake in my fridge.
I love Donna Hay. I think i need to get my hands on this one. I embarrassingly buy lots of cookbooks and i collect them up. Apart from the recipes, i just adore drooling at the styled photos. :)
Food porn I like, they're the easiest to photograph too, very photogenic :)

Trishie, I'm a first-time visitor to your site from Cleveland, OH. I saw your interview on the "...It's Simple Love" blog and decided to click-through.
Congratulations on your blog's success and I'll plan to stop by more often.

I love cooking with the seasons, so this book looks perfect for me. I can't wait to check it out.
stares morosely into her bare cupboard and silently curses Trishie for putting such mouth watering food porn up.
the same. a great recipe book or even something from a magazine with tasty pictures to depict the recipe is what does is for me. also something new that i've never tried before spikes up the interest even more.
enjoy your cookbook and have fun cooking.
