All mixed up is what I'm feeling today; it's my last day of work at a place where I've made lots of wonderful friends and enjoyed what I do for the last 4 years, so it makes me sad to leave. At the same time, I'm feeling a whole lot of mixed emotions about my new job that I start next week. I'm excited but nervous, scared but thrilled all at the same time.Tell me, what do you do to calm your nerves when you feel like that?

Usually, when I'm feeling like that, I go into my kitchen and search all the shelves for Nutella.
Then I grab a spoon, and eat! :)
And then, I await all the new adventures life holds.
when i'm feeling a little mixed up, i find solace in a long, hot shower, some strong coffee, and a long conversation with my mom.

p.s. that photo is incredible!
When I feel like this, I pray.
I remind myself that what God has for me is even better than what lies behind, and He has already gone and prepared it for me and I can walk into it with confidence. xoxo
i actually just had a free 10 minute massage at work today... and it felt sooo good! so i definitely think a nice massage paired with a mani/pedi should help!! oh and eating chocolate too! =)
wow, congratulations on all your awards. i just stumbled upon your blog and you sure do have lovely photos. good luck on your new job. have a great weekend. verbena cottage
Just keep a stiff upper lip, dear. It'll work. Promise. :)

Oh congratulations on the new job. I think just allowing yourself to feel whatever it is you are feeling. Sad and excited, happy and teary. It is ok to feel that way. I know it must be hard to leave all those memories but think of your new adventures ahead.
I would love to frame your photo. It is stunning. The unknown is always a little scary isn't it? Just remember, the road less traveled and all that. Good Luck.

Bubble baths, wine, maybe a little Sex and the City :)
i agree wholeheartedly with the hot, soaking bubble bath. your favourite drink and a book. and just take it easy. i get caught up in my nerves so easily! but just relax with things that you love xx
you'll be wonderful!
I like to make some tea and watch a good movie when I am feeling mixed up...just to get my mind off things. Good luck with your new job!
i so know how you feel, am in the same space now... sigh...
I surround myself by familiar things that make me happy- my favorite drink, my baby kitties, a favorite movie...
I would read a good book, listen to soothing music. Good luck on your new adventure!
I either do yoga or lie in bed and listen to a soothing play list. Congratulations on your last day! Sometimes change is good :)
P.S. Love that picture of the paintbrush. Very inspiring.
CELEBRATE, sweet friend! I am so excited for you Trishie, seriously, what amazing opportunities lie ahead for you! I know you are torn at the moment, but your current friends through your job, the true ones, will follow you wherever you go, because they support you as a person. And that is what you deserve! You will do so well in your new adventure, and I am grateful to be in your number of worldwide friends to support you from afar! Hugs to you dear and congrats!! Don't worry, all good things in store, I just know it! XOXO
I tend to run or bake -- both help me calm down. Leaving good friends behind is always hard, but you can still make plans with them and your new job will bring you so many new opportunities. In the meantime, if you need a good recipe, let me know. We'll find the perfect one for you.
aww trishie, congratulations and good luck with your new job. i am sure you will be a fine asset for your new employer, don't be so nervous you will do fine, you've alread past the interview and you've been hired.

Hanging out with my BFF/girlfriends. It helps remind me I have firends and a life outside of work. She also always brings out the positive side and reminds me of the exciting potentials the future brings.
Best of Luck!

best of luck!
i usually find a ride on my bicycle or a long walk helps when i feel like this x
I usually pray or find something to ease my stress like yoga, a bath, or eating!! Hahaha. i know that's not the smartest thing to do but i can't help it! ;)
Hope you start feeling better soon girl!! Congrats on your new job!
Good Luck in the new work!
Have a great weekend!
xox
when i feel like that i talk to my creator. if anyone's there for me, it's Him. :)
awe, cheer up. life's too short to be feeling down. i'm sure you'll be fine :)
i love that picture, first of all. and second of all, a good movie gets my mind off things - and sometimes, thats just what i need.
Usually when I'm feeling like that, I just do whatever I can to keep my mind occupied and not focused on that. Reading, movies, heck even blogging keeps my mind off of it haha. Have a good weekend :)
When I feel like that I make myself something amazingly good to eat and watch my favotite sitcom.
Congrats on your new job!! And good luck girl! :)
xanax, sorry.
I love this picture! Good luck with your new job! I know how you feel, excited but nervous at the same time...just think positive! When I feel like this I go for a walk to clear my head....Usually turns into an hour of me thinking about everything, but then I just let it go... :)
When I'm feeling mixed up, I just relax and put on some music (it varies from rock so I can scream or slow ones so I can unwind).
awww i completely feel you...
:( it'll all work out and you'll love this next one...
ps you won the giveaway!! come on over
darling it's going to be ok. Actually more than ok- new adventure, new chapter.

Wow, I love that picture of the paintbrush. Good luck in your new job. I am sure it'll be fantastic.
Congrats on the new job!! I know those feelings very well. I was very sad to leave a job a while back. When I feel all out of sorts I tend to lye in bed and watch old movies, or sew. Usually the loaf in me wins though :)
Drink some tea and read a fabulous book that really puts things into perspective and makes you feel all warm inside... that's my advice!
Don't worry, you will be fantastic and it'll be a smoother transition than you think!
oh good luck with everything, i'm sure things will work out fine. i'm feeling a little mixed up too at the moment, i just try to keep busy & hope the feeling will pass.
Dear trishie, i totally understand this mix feelings! Im sure you will keep intouch with those wonderful friends you made in your ex-company! Good luck with your new job may it bring you many many happiness! When i am feeling nerves, i usually look out the window at the sky and breath in and out slowly. Have a lovely merry happy weekend and love to you!
good luck with your new job! Enjoy the exciting new adventure!
I wish I had your problem ;) Being unemployed sucks.
Yoga and meditation really helps but if you are not into that then a bowl of ice cream might do the trick!
I know how you feel! I hope you will have a better day tomorrow...
Think about that ice cream :)
congrats on the new job, you're moving on up i'm sure! i try to get to the gym when i get all mixed up, it gets my mind off of whatever's bothering me and burns up some of the stress.
I love the picture you chose here to explain your emotions. It's perfect. What I do... well I ponder and think through my emotions until I either understand them more or give-up because I have a headache and think about them later.

mm it's an exciting time, but definitely terrifying as well! just relax, and know that there are better things in store :)
Pay someone to hit me over the head with a club so I sleep for a couple days... OR square dancing.
Definitely a long talk with a good friend...it's always help :-)
Good luck with your new job!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend my dear friend.
Cheers: Evi
Congrates on the new job! take it easy first as everything is new. So just tackle it as it comes - be relaxed.
Been there, Trishie! It's a hard place to be, but I am certain that things will go great for you! Sometimes I just have to sit in the discomfort for a bit and know that everything in the end is going to be great!
So stressful and exciting! You will do great!! Go to bed earlier and put the coffee pot on!!!
i eat and pray. ;-)
all the best in ur new career!
I think you just have to feel those feelings! It's not negative or dangerous to feel mixed up; I think it's a kind of energy. But I find that painting makes me slow down sometimes. That is what I see in your picture; not being mixed up but escaping into a world of colour and movement!
Hi Trishie, wishing you all the best in your new job! I find that chocolate helps, and a drink! :)
