If I had to sum up the taste of summer in just one word, it would be peaches. And it's not just because it is in season this time of the year; I think it has to do with the slight crunchiness as I bite into its pink and creamy skin, its sweet, tangy flesh and the juices that drips down the side of my mouth. Messy but delightful, very much like summer itself.What does summer taste like to you?

Definitely peaches! And cold watermelon is so refreshing on a hot summer day.
Mango. I could never get into peaches - something about that furry skin. Oh, and cherries. Lots of cherries, but if I was to say a taste, it would be mangoes or mango wine.
ahhh peaches and lemonade! Now I am craving warm weather!!

Sigh. Peaches. I'm craving them. On a warm summer afternoon, before reading a good book and going for a swim.. Ok I got carried away. Back to gray and rainy Paris.
Peaches are summer, without doubt!
Try them with brown sugar, and fresh whip cream. Yum..The organic brown sugar taste the best
For me it's cherries, my favorite (or one of favorite) friuts.
Honestly, I prefer nectarines than peaches, 'cuz I dont like the skin of peaches.

I soooooo agree..nothing says Summer like the taste and smell of a fresh peach right off the tree...we use to have a peach tree in our old yard...huge huge peaches! I would pick one for my breakfast every morning. Thanks for bring back that sweet memory!

hmm...wat does summer taste like to me.... salt! haha frm all the perspiration & stickiness ;P but seriously, summer reminds me of cherries! tasty plump red sweet cherries :) mum bot sum the other day & we loved it heaps...
