I grew up with animals around me, so it's litte surprise I am always pinning for a little dog to cuddle and play with. Everytime I ask Stu for one, he gently reminds me that apartment living and pooches don't go hand in hand and that someday, hopefully soon, when we buy a house, I can have a dog of my own.

I have a puppy named Laska, after the ever faithful dog in the novel Anna Karenina, by Leo Tolstoy. I've read it three times, and always get something new. One day, I will read it in Russian (I'm fluent) so I'll know exactly what Tolstoy wanted to say... Anyway, my cocker spaniel Laska lives up to his name in every sense of the word. Glad to see that you had such an awesome weekend too. :oP <---- my jealous face!
I hope you get a dog of your own some day, and Stu is right, it's a big responsibility & best to wait for the right time.

awww don't let him tell you that... it can work! :-) i used to think that too but it's totally not true - small dogs make great apt pets :-) and how funny! your man's name is Stu? mine too! hardly even see that!
I'm more of a cat person... you could probably have a cat in an apartment, couldn't you?

I just read lyndseywiley's comment--are you visiting California?? Because I've lived in both southern and northern, and you really can't miss my favorite city in the whole wide world--San Francisco!
We live in an apt and have a cat but long for the day when we have a house with a yard and can get a corgi! We look at corgi owners with jealousy. They're so cute and cuddly. Hope the day comes soon for you too!

I'm counting down the days until I have a yard again so I can get a pup. I have two kitties to love and cuddle with now, but I oh so very badly want a pup! Cute pictures!
Or a cuddly kitty perhaps? Apartment living and cats go pretty well together... or at least they do with our two fluff bundles ;)

I live in an apartment - a loft - and my neighbors have a dog (in his and her loft). It seem to work out well, they take it out a lot and there is a dog park a block away. I guess maybe the dog park helps?
Dogs are cute, but I'm a cat person personally.
awww, so cute! love that last one, reminds me of Hazel and I!! we live in an apartment of course, but Hazel is so tiny that she is ok here. though she would LOVE to have a big backyard to run around in... till then, we always have the dog park :)

I really want a beagle (just so i can call him snoopy) but stu's more keen on the smaller jack russell. Both will need plenty of room to run about so i'll just have to (im)patiently wait till we buy a house.
